Sondra S. Fisher

Sondra S. Fisher, 82, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at her residence.   

Mrs. Fisher was a member of the VFW Auxiliary 2689.   She retired from Memcor and later worked at Hickory Creek. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington

She was born July 7, 1937, in Huntington to Clarence and Leota Shull Foster. She married William J. Fisher on March 3, 1990, and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2013.

Survivors include four sons, Robert M. Jay Jr., of Kempton; Michael Jay and Charles Curry, both of Huntington; and Samuel (Sheila) Curry, of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Sabrina (Gene) McCoskey, of Orange Park, FL, and Kristy (Matt) Rawles, of Albion; a step-son, Edward Fisher, of Huntington; three stepdaughters, Tammy (Jeff) Pederson, of Cottage Grove, MN; Amy (Shane) Austin, of Jacksonville, FL; and Jean (Allen) Herd, of Douglasville, GA; a sister, Phyllis Salter, of Kuhn Lake; 26 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Debra Lynn Jay and Ann Valentine.

Calling is Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, from 10 a.m. to noon at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington.
A funeral services will follow immediately after at noon at the funeral home, with Rev Stephen Colchin presiding. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
