Sharon R. Cuttriss

Sharon R. Cuttriss, 29, of Roanoke, IN, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, following a traffic accident in Elkhart County, IN.

Mrs. Cuttriss graduated from Pike High School in Indianapolis in 2008.  She earned her Bachelor
 of Science in wildlife biology at Purdue University in 2012. She became the parks program director at the Huntinton Parks & Recreation Department in 2016. Prior to that, she worked at Science Central in Fort Wayne, where she started “Science on a Sphere.”  She had worked as a naturalist at Parklands of Floyds Fork Park in Louisville, KY, she gave cave tours at Spring Mill State Park. She grew up attending St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Indianapolis.

She was born Jan. 25, 1990, in Indianapolis to Charles and Carol Daniels Lamkin. Her parents survive in Indianapolis.   She married Adam M. Cuttriss on Oct. 11, 2014, in Fort Wayne, at the Tin Caps Stadium, and  he survives.

Additional survivors include a brother, Michael (Katie) Lamkin, of Carmel; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Phillip and Penny Cuttriss, of Huntington; and a sister-in-law, Melissa Cuttriss, of Indianapolis.

Calling is Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, from 3 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at 11 a.m. with calling one hour prior at 10 a.m., at Huntington First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Rd., Huntington, with Rev. Bobby Kemp officiating.
Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Huntington.
