Janice L. Keith

Janice L. Keith, 81, of Marion, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 7:20 p.m. at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, in Muncie.

Mrs. Keith graduated from Huntington High School and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Parkview in Fort Wayne. She retired from Marion General Hospital, where she was a registered nurse for 12 years.  She had also worked one year at Colonial Oaks Health Care Center, as well as at Westminster Presbyterian Preschool. She was president of Jaycee Wives and a member of both Westminster Presbyterian and Tri Kappa sorority.

She was born Oct. 24, 1937, in Dayton, OH, to Floyd L. and Louise M. Ramsey Watrous.

She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly K. (John) Marshall, of Marion, and Brenda D. (Jeff) Dean, of Southport; two sons, Todd (Linda) Keith, of Marion, and Brian D. (Tammy) Keith, of Brownsburg; a brother, William L. (Dorothy) Watrous, of Racine, WI; a sister-in-law, Linda Watrous, of Kokomo; and seven grandchildren, Tyler (Miranda) Keith, of Swayzee; Brandon (Erika) Keith and Makayla Keith, both of Brownsburg; Eric (Emily) Dean, of Raleigh, NC; Jennifer (Seth) Bates, of West Lafayette; and Christy Dean and Rachel Dean, both of Southport; and three great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, April 24, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 pm. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Mick Simpkins officiating.  Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory, in Marion.
