Jackie D. King

Jackie D. King, 87, of Bluffton, IN, and having ties to Huntington County, IN, died Monday evening, Jan. 14, 2019, at Signature Health Care in Bluffton.

Mrs. King graduated from Bluffton High School in 1949. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eagles Lodge and American Legion Post 111 Auxiliary.

She was born Sept. 26, 1931, in Huntington County to Jacob and Jessie Emerick Pickens. She married George King on May 29, 1965, in Wells County, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1994.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice (Phil) Boadway of Waynedale, and Ann Shaver, of Montpelier; four stepdaughters, Karen (Dick) Huntziker, of Wilshire, OH; Kim (Norman) Falszer, of Scott, OH; Kathy (Bob) Pritchard, of Phoenix, AZ; and Karla (Dan) McMillian, of Van Wert, OH; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded her in death by a stepson, Ken King.
 
Calling is Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home, 308 W.  Washington St., Bluffton. A funeral service will take place Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Laura High officiating. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.
