Charlie A. Jennings

Charlie A. Jennings, 94, of Marion, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at 4:47 a.m. at Marion General Hospital.

Mr. Jennings graduated from Banquo High School and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion. He was the owner of J&W Electronics wholesale TV/radio since 1960.  He volunteered at Arbor Trace Golf Course and was a member of the National Hole in One Association.

He was born Aug. 16, 1924, in Huntington Miles and Minnie Hall Jennings.  He married Betty Bird on June 7, 1947, and she preceded him in death in 2006.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet (Brad) Steusloff, of Marion; two brothers, Morris (Pat) Jennings and Larry Jennings; a granddaughter, Jamie (Andy) Bowman, of Marion; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Delona Bragg.

Calling is Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. A funeral service will follow immediately after at noon, with Rev. Mick Simpkins officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.
