Jack E. Horoho

Jack E. Horoho, 99, of North Manchester, IN, and having family in Roanoke, IN, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at 9:20 a.m. at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

After serving in the United States Army during World War II and earning two bronze stars, he returned to Anderson and continued his career with Kroger Co. as a manager. After retiring from Kroger, he and his wife moved to Long Lake in 1967. He worked at Ford Meter Box, retiring after 14 years.

He was born March 20, 1919, in Sycamore to Owen and Anna (Crousore) Horoho. He married Pauline Tucker Randolph in Anderson in 1946, and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are three sons, Robert (Candi) Randolph, of Marinette, WI; Bill (Pat) Horoho, of Roanoke; and Dennis (Vicki) Horoho, of Rochester; a daughter; a daughter, Candace (Bill) Bertram, of Rogers, MN; and a companion, Wilma Parmerlee, of North Manchester; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son Robert.

Calling is Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Peabody Chapel, 400 West Seventh St., North Manchester. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 2 p.m., with Rev. David Crowley officiating. Burial will be at Laketon Cemetery, Laketon.

McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, was in charge of  arrangements.
