Joseph David Hooker Jr., 63, of Garrett, IN, and with family in Roanoke, IN, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home.
Mr. Hooker attended Fort Wayne Bible College and was a member of Living Waters Community Church, Garrett. He was employed with Bradbury Construction for several years and was a freelance writer for many different survivalist magazines.
He was born May 28, 1955, in Chicopee, MA, to Joseph and Alice Kandis Hooker. His parents survive in Fort Wayne.
Additional survivors include four daughters, Montana (Tom) Crago, Heidi Augsburger, Josie (Stan) Casebere and Cassandra Jo “C.J.” Hooker; four brothers, James Hooker, of Monroeville; Robert (Tammie) Hooker, of Roanoke; and John “Rick” (Karen) Hooker, of Atlanta, GA; Margy Hooker and Debra (Thomas) Hall, both of Fort Wayne;11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Calling is Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Living Waters Community Church, 711 S. Randolph St., Garrett. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 1 p.m., with Rev. Brett Stilwell officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Christian Union Cemetery, Garrett.
