Gale A. Ruschhaupt

Gale A. Ruschhaupt, 83, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at 3:20 p.m. at Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Ruschhaupt was a 1953 graduate of Huntington Township High School. He served his country in the United States Army. He had worked for Schaffer Electric and was the owner of R&R Electric. He was a member of Faith Chapel United Methodist Church and was a past member of Huntington Horseshoe Club.

He was born Aug. 9, 1935, in Shelbyville to Everett H. and Avaril B. Clary Ruschhaupt. He was married to Peggy Sell on Jan. 24, 1960, and she preceded him in death on April 16, 1990. He later married Marcia Warner on April 30, 1993, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Robert (Susan) Ruschhaupt, of Huntington; a daughter, Debby (Tim) Kaufman, of Petoskey, MI; two stepsons; Marc Jackson and Steven (Lori) Jackson, both of Cottonwood, AZ; a stepdaughter, Carla (Gerry) Dufort of Sedona, AZ; 11 grandchildren, Andy Roberts, Austin Roberts, Megan Ruschhaupt, Skyler Ruschhaupt, Nate (J’aime) Kaufman, Matt Kaufman, Sam (Ashley) Kaufman, Nichole (Wyatt) Hicks, Paydon Jackson, Troy Jackson and Jessica Goodwin; and seven great grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A funeral service will be held at Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington County.
