Terry Ray Sommers, 64, of Andrews, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at 3:33 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Sommers worked as a millwright for Ford Motor Company Lincoln Division for more than 30 years, retiring in November 2008.
He was born April 4, 1954, in Battle Creek, MI, to Eugene L. and Patricia Erskin Sommers. He married Sue Ellen Stallings on Nov. 28, 1974, and she survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Annette (Randy) Shivley, of Andrews, and Tracy (James) Leonard, of Fowlerville, MI; two sons, Daniel (Dallas) Sommers, of Findley, OH, and Clay Sommers, of Andrews; two brothers, Todd Sommers, of Quincy, and Blane Sommers, of Huntington; three sisters, Barb Hostetler, of Huntington; Kay Jacquay, of Wabash; and Jackie Parker, of Andrews; and five grandchildren, Austin Sommers, Heidi Gartley, Aaraka Sommers, Hope Leonard and Ethan Leonard.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Crystal D. Gartley, and a grandson, Kyle Shively.
Calling is Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Burial will be in Andrews Riverside Cemetery in Andrews at a later date.
