L. Wayne Randall

L. Wayne Randall, 75, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at 3:22 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Randall graduated from Huntington High School in 1960. He served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963, and graduated from Huntington College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science. He was a teacher with the Huntington County Community School Corporation for 38 years and was at Crestview and Riverview middle schools. He was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Gideons International, Retired Teachers Association and coached numerous sports for Huntington County schools including football, basketball and cross country.

He was born Nov. 9, 1942, in Huntington to Charles and Ethel Pinkerton Randall.  He married Judith Rice on April 6, 1968, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors are four daughters, Laurie (Andrew) McNeil, of Brownsburg; Lisa (Jeff) Mohler, of Westfield; Patricia Randall, of Indianapolis; and Kimberly McCaslin, of Owensboro, KY; two brothers, Willis Randall, of Lake Placid, FL, and Steve (Mary) Randall, of Huntington; a sister, Charlene Jones, of Huntington; and nine grandchildren, Ethan McNeil, Jack McNeil, Ayliana McNeil, Henry McNeil, Lydia Mohler, Owen Mohler, Zach McCaslin, Dakota McCaslin and Amiah McCaslin.

Calling is Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 7pm at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 1000 Flaxmill Rd., Huntington, with Rev. Dr. Marti Lundy officiating. Additional calling will be Thursday Sept. 27, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. A private burial will be at Marion National Cemetery, Marion.

Memorials are to Special Olympics of Indiana or Gideons International, in care of McElhaney – Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington.
