Marcia Knee

Marcia Knee, 71, of rural Urbana, IN, and formerly of Huntington County, IN, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at 4:45 p.m., at her home.

Mrs. Knee was a 1965 graduate of Southwood High School. She was the supervisor of the Bake Shop at Manchester University for 35 years, retiring in 2013. She was a member of the Wabash County Cancer Society, the Wabash County Fair Association, a 4-H leader several years and the GWRRA (Gold Wing Road Riders Association). She was involved with the Tree of Caring for the Cancer Society and the Chili Cook Off. She also helped at the Wabash County 4-H Fair. She was recently inducted in the Wabash County 4-H Hall of Fame.

She was born March 16, 1947 in Huntington County to Darwin and Thelma McKenzie Harper. Her mother survives in Wabash. She married Terry Knee on Sept. 26, 1965, at the Wabash Christian Church, and he also survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Shaun (Renee) Knee, of Akron; a daughter, Tiann (Robert) Aughinbaugh, of Huntington; an adopted son, Tracy (Connie) Carboni, of New Haven; two sisters-in-law, Kay Hapner, of Carmel, and Lori Holland, of Utah; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheri Ann Knee, and a granddaughter, Christina Lynn Knee.

Calling is Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A funeral service will be Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Brian Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
