Esther Corbat

Esther Corbat, 85, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family in Markle, IN, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Corbat was a graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 50 years, retiring in 2008. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Arcola.

She was born in Winamac to Paul and Mary Sommers. She married Robert W. Corbat Jr., and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are four sons, Steven (Beth) Corbat, David Corbat and John (Sallie) Corbat, all of Fort Wayne, and Mark (Pamela) Corbat, of Markle; two daughters, Carol Corbat, of Lecompte, LA, and Mary (Bruce) Schoenemann, of Roanoke; a sister-in-law, Barbara Keiser of Columbia City; a brother-in-law, Rex Hall of Canton, MI; seven grandchildren, Cassandra Hill, Emily Zeiger, Allyson Corbat, Mitchell Corbat, Shelby Corbat, James Corbat and Joseph Corbat; and five great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Arcola, 12305 Arcola Rd. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
