Dean A. Hunter

Dean A. Hunter, 92, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, July 6, 2018, at 10:30 p.m.  at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Mr. Hunter attended Clear Creek High School and served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was stationed in Italy. He was a lifetime farmer in Huntington County. He was a life member of Faith Chapel United Methodist Church in Huntington.

He was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Whitley County to Floyd Edward and Nona Ethel Eberhart Hunter. He married Iris E. Prentice on April 10, 1949, in Noble County, and she survives.

Additional survivors include four daughters, Karen S. (James) Morton, Rita K. (Jeffrey) Brankle and Sheila R. (Troy) Whitacre, all of Huntington, and Brenda J. (Michael) Cloud, of Rochester; a sister, Palma (Delbert) Walter, of Huntington; 11 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, July 11, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the mortuary, with Rev. Jason Parsons, Rev. Mike Smith, and Rev. Mike Cloud officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery in Huntington County.
