Ronald D. Beaver

Ronald D. Beaver, 81, of Roanoke, IN, died Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 10 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Beaver graduated from Roanoke High School in 1954 and served in the United States Army. He was a lifetime Huntington County farmer, a member of Huntington First Church of the Nazarene and volunteered at the church’s Growing Place Preschool. He served as Huntington County councilman for 16 years and was on the Huntington County Extension Board. He was a 4-H leader and served on the Huntington County 4-H Fair Board.

He was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Huntington to Paul A. and Julia “Margaret” Smith Beaver. He married Nancy C. Pasko on Aug. 17, 1963, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Michael W. (Rhonda) Beaver, of Huntington, and Gregory D. Beaver, of Greensburg; a daughter, Patricia S. Huffman, of Huntington; two sisters, Lois (James) Campbell, of Warren, and Janet (Myron) Husband, of Markle; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, July 11, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Huntington First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Rd., Huntington. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the church, with one hour of calling prior to the service. Rev. Bobby Kemp will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Huntington County.
