Hazel R. Hahn

Hazel R. Hahn, 96, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 7 a.m. at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Mrs. Hahn was a former resident of Hartford City. She had also spent the winter at Crystal Lake Village in Wauchula, FL.

She worked at St. Joe Paper in Hartford City for 21 years. She was co-owner of Carolyns Childrens Shop in Montpelier. She was a member of the Alethia Chapter 206 of the Order of Eastern Star in Montpelier and also the Purity Chapter in Hartford City. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was also a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Hartford City and had also attended the First United Methodist Church in Montpelier and was a member of the United Methodist Womens Club.

She was born Dec. 6, 1921, in Flemming County, KY, to Calvert and Nellie Ann Hurst Jones. She is preceded in death by three husbands, Charles W. Shores, Harold McGeath and Floyd Hahn.

Survivors include a daughter. Sharon (Gary) Sutton, of Huntington; two brothers, James Jones and Bob Jones, both of Hartford City; five grandchildren, Jeannie Myers and Rynell Klepper, both of Huntington; Sherri Givens, of Hudson, WI; Doug Gordon, of Zeeland, MI; and Carmin Johnston, of Andrews; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Gordon.

Calling is Wednesday, June 20, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a celebration of life service to follow at 4 p.m. at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. Rev. Lloyd Hall will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery in Hartford City.
