Philip D. Rupprt

Philip D. Ruppert, 75, of Andrews, IN, died Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 3 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Ruppert graduated from Andrews High School in 1960. He worked at G. E./Lockheed Martin beginning in 1964 and retired in 1999. He was a member of  St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntington, Andrews Lions Club and G. E. Quarter Century Club.

He was born Sept. 6, 1942, in Huntington to Paul and Irene Miller Ruppert. He married Sharon Cook on Nov. 30, 1963, and she survives.

Additional survivors are two daughters, Amelia Jo “A.J.” (John) Broxon, of Huntington, and Melinda Scott, of Fort Wayne; two brothers, David (Carolyn) Ruppert and Ronald (Janet) Ruppert, both of Huntington;  a sister, Shirley Palmer, of Columbia City; and two grandchildren, Christy Broxon and Andrea Broxon.
 
Calling is Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.at St. Mary gymnasium, 903 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Recitation of the Rosary will start the calling hours. Additional calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, prior to Mass, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11, with Rev. David Ruppert and Rev. Stephen Colchin presiding.  A private burial will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.
