William E. Stoffel

William E. Stoffel, 91, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at 7:40 p.m. at The Heritage of Huntington, in Huntington.

Mr. Stoffel was a farmer in Huntington and Wabash counties for many years. He served in the United States Navy. He was the owner of Pure Seal Dairy. After retirement, his family developed Lake Forest Subdivision. He was a lifetime member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington.

He was born Oct. 20, 1926, in Huntington to Frank and Mary Gill Stoffel. He married Barbara Lee Bonebrake on June 28, 1952, at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Fort Wayne. She survives.

Additional survivors are a son, Bill (Cindy) Stoffel, of Roanoke; two daughters, Suzanne (Alton) Harp, of Wake Forest, NC, and Carol (James) Cryderman, of Huntington; two brothers, Gene (Gloria) Stoffel, of Syracuse, and James (Renee) Stoffel, of Amelia Island, FL; a sister, Helene Craig, of Huntington; seven grandchildren, Dana (Kelly) Burden, Michael (Leslie) Cryderman, Andrea Pierce, Jenny Cryderman, Ericka (John) Gualtieri, Tom (Jessie) Stoffel and Joe (Alicia) Stoffel; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, May 11, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Additional calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 9 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
