Adeline P. Martin

Adeline Pauline Martin, 100, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, April 6, 2018, at 2:35 p.m.  at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.

Mrs. Martin was a lifelong member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She worked at Our Sunday Visitor for 50 years. After she retired, she volunteered five days a week at the Ramblin’ Rose Consignment Shop. Its proceeds went to Huntington Catholic School.  

She was born July 20, 1917, in Huntington to Joseph and Nellie Herberg Ritter. She married Eldon P. “Tony” Martin on Nov. 28, 1942, in Huntington; he preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1978.

Survivors include a daughter, Myra (Dan) Bickel, of Huntington; her deceased son’s companion, Pat Meyers, of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Terri (Larry) Bonbrake, Edward Martin Jr., Tony (Tonya) Martin, Danielle (Harold) Albertson, April (Kevin) VanBrocklin and Austin (Alicia) Martin; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Martin.
    
Calling is Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington with a rosary service immediately following at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington, with Rev. Tony Steinacker officiating. There will be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Huntington.
