Nancy F. Davis

Nancy F. Davis, 80, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having connections to Markle, IN, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Davis was a member of The Chapel and volunteered at St. Vincent. She owned the Davis Family Restaurant in Markle and worked as the head chef at the L.S. Ayres Tea Room.

She was born in Fort Wayne to Darlene “Dar” and Naomi Bermes. Her husband, Donald E. Davis, preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons, Gene Davis and Lonnie Powell, both of Fort Wayne, and Kenneth (Susan Towne) Powell, of Ossian; four sisters, Charlotte (Ed) Masters and Janet (Steve) Shockney, both of Fort Wayne; Cleo Gonzalez, of Westville; and Susie (Bob) Mowan, of Fort Meyers, FL; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony Powell.

Calling is Monday, April 2, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Rd., Fort Wayne. A funeral service will be Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the church, with an hour of calling prior to the service. Burial will be in Markle Cemetery, Markle.
