Jaime M. Miller

Jaime M. Miller, 49, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, MO.

Mr. Miller was a 1987 graduate of Huntington North High School. He was an airline captain/check airman at Kalitta Air. He had logged more than 19,000 hours and most recently was flying as a commercial and freight pilot. He had also worked for America Trans Air (ATA). While flying for ATA he serviced military contracts and transported troops out of Germany and Kuwait during the Gulf War.

He was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church in Huntington, where he also served on the staff-parish council. He also served on the board of directors for Love INC, was president of Huntington County Aviation Board and served on Huntington County Council from 2013 to 2016.

He was born July 7, 1968, in Huntington to John W. and Janice Smuts Miller. His parents survive in Huntington. He married Sherry A. Wagner on Feb. 25, 1989; she also survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Justin Miller, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jacob Miller and Jarid Miller, both of Huntington; a sister, Joetta (Thomas) Byrum; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Diana Wagner, of Columbia City.

Calling is Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 1000 Flaxmill Rd., Huntington. Rev. Dr. Marti Lundy will officiate. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Huntington.
