Mary A. Kaehr

Mary Anne Kaehr, 93, of Bluffton, and having ties to Huntington County, died Monday morning, Jan. 15, 2018, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Kaehr was a homemaker for many years. She was a bookkeeper for the family business, Kaehr Farm Supply. She graduated from Lancaster High School in 1943. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.

She was born Sept. 19, 1924, in Adams County  to Tobias L. and Martha Baumgartner Steffen. She married Vernon O. Kaehr on Sept. 4, 1943, in Angola, and he survives.

Additional survivors include four daughters, Kathy (Steve) Longenberger, Karen (Mike) Todd and Peggy (Tony) Fiechter, all of Bluffton, and Jenni (Jeff) Milholland of Ossian; two brothers, Harry Steffen and Kenneth (Roberta) Steffen, both of Bluffton; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild.

Calling is today, Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. Ind. 224, Bluffton.  A funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Bluffton North Apostolic Christian Church, 630 E Dustman Rd., Bluffton, with one hour of visitation prior. Steve Ringger and Doyle Frauhiger will officiate. Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County.
