Elmer H. Johnson

Elmer H. Johnson, 75, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at Bethlehem Woods Rehabilitation Center, in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Johnson had worked for Prairie Farms for 20 years, retiring in 2004. He was a 35-year member of Branches of Christ Ministries.

He was born in Harlan, KY, to Pearl H. and Daisy Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna K. Johnson.

Additional survivors include two sons, Howard E. (Amanda) Johnson and Heath A. (Celia) Johnson, both of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Rhonda Kay (Wendell) Tabler, of Zanesville, OH; two brothers, Freddy Johnson, of Huntington, and Ralph Johnson, of Wabash; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. A service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Branches of Christ Ministries, 2010 E. Tillman Rd., Fort Wayne. Rev. Joe Simpson will officiate. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
