Betty E. Stoffel

Betty Eileen Stoffel, 91, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at 3:25 p.m. at her home.

Mrs. Stoffel was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She was born Sept. 2, 1926, in Huntington to Thomas A. and Mercy A. Angelmyre Hartley. She married Paul John Stoffel Jr. on Oct. 21, 1950, at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1994.

Survivors include four sons, Stephen M. (Sally) Stoffel, of Erie, CO; Timothy M. Stoffel, of Huntington; Christopher M. (Donna) Stoffel, of Canal Winchester, OH; and Curtis A. (Marissa) Stoffel, of Clinton; two daughters, Rebecca Anne (Lenard) Grove, of Wabash; and Christine A. (Kenneth Chase) Stoffel, of Huntington; two sisters, Anna Belle Rice and Edith L. Scheerer, both of Huntington; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Santa, of Huntington; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Steve McPeek will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
