Imo J. Wine

Imo Jean Wine, 97, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017, at 8:55 a.m. at Coventry Meadows, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Wine was a 1938 graduate of Huntington Township High School and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. For many years, she worked alongside her husband as the secretary and treasurer of Wine Plumbing and Heating. She had also been an Avon representative for 13 years. While her children were young, she was active with the Lincoln Elementary School PFA.

She was born Feb. 8, 1920, in Huntington to Harvey and Lorene Tumbleson Gressley. She married Paul B. Wine on June 1, 1941, in Huntington, and he preceded her in death on May 9, 2009.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Cliff) Woods, of Idaho, and Darlene (Barney) Massa, of Markle; two sons, Berdell (Kim) Wine and Kent (Kelly) Wine, both of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, in Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the cemetery. Interment will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
