Byron R. 'Bud' Speicher

Byron Ray “Bud” Speicher, 79, of Bluffton, IN, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Markle Health and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Speicher graduated from Ligonier High School in 1956 and served in the Army Reserves. He retired in 1994 from Freudenberg NOK, in Ligonier, as general manager. He was a former member of Maple Grove Church, in Topeka.

He was born Feb. 10, 1938, in Goshen to Ira and Rosella Hostetler Speicher. He married Phyllis J. Zesiger on Nov. 19, 1984, in Albion, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Dean (Amanda) Speicher, of Ligonier, and Randy (April) Speicher, of Noblesville; two stepchildren, Sutton (Todd) Shalley, of Bluffton, and Jonah Smith, of Falls Church, VA; a sister, Janice Lintz, of Millersburg; and nine grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 3 p.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery, in Topeka. Harold Gingerich will officiate.

Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
