Linda S. Tincher

Linda Sue Tincher, 65, of rural Roanoke, Whitley County, IN, died Sunday, July 9, 2017, at 9:55 a.m.

Mrs. Tincher was a full-time homemaker before working as a pharmacy technician at CVS, in Columbia City. She made custom wedding gowns and had written a newspaper column, “Linda’s Neighbors,” in the Four Corners Courier, in Roanoke. She was a member of Emmanuel Community Church, Fort Wayne.

She graduated from Elyria (OH) High School in 1969 and attended Grace College, in Winona Lake.

She was born July 18, 1951 in Cleveland, OH, to Raymond H. Baetzold and Grace L. Beldon. She grew up as a foster child of the Priebie family in Elyria, OH. She married Steven R. Tincher on May 5, 1973, and he survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Jennifer E. Tincher, of Edmonds, OK; four sons, Jeremy S. (Chelsea) Tincher and Jordan M. Tincher, both of Columbia City; Jacob J. (Lindsay) Tincher, of Kendallville; and Joshua D. (Brenda) Tincher, of Fort Wayne; a sister, Martha (Jerry) Caskey, of Terre Haute; a brother, Donald Baetzold, of Terre Haute; and 20 grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, July 12, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at South Park Annex Cemetery.
