John H. Feasby

John Howard Feasby, 86, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Roanoke, IN, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

Mr. Feasby was the owner of Feasby Construction. He retired from Power Plant Services, in Fort Wayne. He was an honorary member of the Monroeville Fire Department, where he had volunteered for more than 52 years, and was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

He was born July 20, 1930, in Convoy, OH, to Willis K. and Myrtle M. Baker Feasby. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Glenna M. Jones Feasby.

Additional survivors include two sons, Dennis (Sally) Feasby, of Springfield, MO, and Gary (Paula) Feasby, of Indianapolis; two daughters, Jackie Schaller, of Fort Wayne, and Jani Feasby-Welling, of Roanoke; a brother, Wayne Feasby of Payne, OH; two sisters, Cleothea “Toey” Hart and Donna Martin, both of Monroeville; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A service was held on Monday, June 12, 2017, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, with Rev. Dale Henderson officiating. Burial was at Covington Memorial Gardens.

Memorial gifts may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Covington Memorial Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, was in charge of arrangements.
