Martha J. Rumple

Martha J. Rumple, 93, of Warren, IN, died Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, in Warren, IN.

Mrs. Rumple was a 1941 graduate of LaFontaine High School. She worked at Memcor for 12 years and was the co-owner of Mt. Etna Trailer Supply from 1974 to 1994. She was a member of the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church and a former member of the OES Floral Chapter 75.

She was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Grant County to Thomas and Maggie “Gay” Campbell Cooper. She married John W. Ervin in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1946. She married Glenn Rumple in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1987.

Survivors include two sons, Dan (Sue) Rumple, of Huntington, and Dale (Marilyn) Rumple, of Mt. Etna; nine grandchildren, Rhonda Landrum, Danny Rumple Jr., Rochelle Rumple, Nick Brown, Aaron Brown, Grace Brown, Jacob Rumple, Lucas Rumple and Jenna Davis; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 10 a.m. to noon at Heritage Pointe, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon at the Senior living community, with Rev. Gerald Moreland officiating.

Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
