Meredith D. Wamsley

Meredith D. Wamsley, 98, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

Mr. Wamsley served in World War II as a motor pool mechanic. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering and worked at Magnavox and Phillips Co. in Evansville and Fort Wayne.

He was born in 1918 in Huntington to Lloyd L. and May P. Wamsley. He married Susanne R. Seely in 1944, and she preceded him in death after 55 years of marriage.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol E. Wamsley, Elizabeth A. Wamsley and Ellen M. (Andrew) Ley; two sons, Randal S. (Sally) Wamsley and Steven L. Walmsley; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 1:30 p.m., with calling two hours prior to the service, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
