Larry R. Black

Larry Ray Black, 66, of Andrews, IN, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 7:33 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Black served in the United States Army as a sergeant during the Vietnam War. He retired from Wayne Metal, where he had worked as a welder for many years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689.

He was born June 29, 1950, in Clarksville, TN, to Carnell and Mary M. Mae Black. He married Lynn Ann Harness on April 21, 1988, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include four sons, Larry (Kirsten) Black, Alex Roberson and Ricky Black, all of Huntington, and David L. Black, of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Emmy L. Black, of Andrews; a brother, Gerald (Betty) Black, of Huntington; three sisters, Patricia Middleton, of Boise, ID; Joyce Garrison, of Warsaw; and Cheryl (Jim) Bannister, of Bippus; two stepbrothers, Roger (Shelly) Arquette and William Arquette, both of Huntington; and five grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Calling will be followed by military rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, of Huntington.
