Sally A. Hake

Sally A. Hake, 82, of Clear Lake, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at her home.

Mrs. Hake graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1953 and studied fine arts at Indiana University, Bloomington. She worked at WKJG-TV and Art Associates, in Fort Wayne. She was a member of St. Mary’s and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Churches, Fort Wayne, and St. Paul’s Chapel, Clear Lake.

She was born Jan. 8, 1935, to Gerald and Irene Schaefer Aurentz. She married Dr. Joseph W. Hake on May 7, 1982, in Fort Wayne. Her husband, a member of Huntington Dental Group, survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Betsy (Jim) Till; three sons, Christopher (Laura) Klerner, Charles (Delonna) Klerner and Patrick (Kathleen) Klerner; two stepdaughters, Michelle (Mark) Clark and Lanah (Fernando) Tarango; a stepson, Nathan Hake; a sister, Nancy Ulrich; and eight grandchildren, Joshua Klerner, Evan Klerner, Henry Till, Samantha Klerner, Emma Clark, George Clark, Sol Tarango and Hake Tarango.

Calling is Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Fort Wayne. Msgr. Robert Schulte will officiate.
