Marjory L. Ramsey

Marjory L. Ramsey, 90, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 4:30 a.m. at The Heritage of Huntington.

Mrs. Ramsey graduated from Huntington High School in 1944. She worked as a telephone operator at Indiana Bell for 10 years and retired in 1982 from Square D, in Huntington, where she had worked as an inventory control clerk for 10 years. She was a member of Huntington Church of the Brethren, Order of the Eastern Star Floral Chapter 75 and Daughters of the Nile Teti Sheri Temple 60, in Fort Wayne.

She was born Dec. 2, 1926, in Huntington to Edward Carey and Ruby Josephine Bailey Pearson. She married Donald D. Ramsey on Oct. 18, 1960, in Huntington, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 2012.

Survivors include a son, Robert (Connie) Ickes, of Xenia, OH; two stepdaughters, Rebara (Leonard) Thorpe, of Madison, and Cheri (Kenneth) Eckert, of Huntington; a brother, Rex Allen (Marcia) Pearson, of Gas City; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Calling is Wednesday, April 19, 2017, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Raymond Scribner will officiate. Those unable to attend may view the service on the Bailey-Love Mortuary channel at www.livestream.com. Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.
