Mark E. Moorman

Mark Edward Moorman, 59, of Hartford City, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Sunday evening, April 9, 2017, in the emergency room of IU Health Blackford Hospital.

Mr. Moorman graduated from Reppert School of Auctioneering and worked as an auctioneer. He was a 1977 graduate of Blackford High School.

He was born March 3, 1958, in Huntington to Edward Lee and M. Arlene Music Moorman. He is survived by his wife of five months, Donna C. Haas Trees-Moorman.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Rich) Thomas, of Marion; two stepdaughters, Christina (Jeff Jr.) Riddle, of Hartford City, and Megan Edwards, of Fishers; a stepson, Lance Cpl. Samuel Edwards, stationed in Okinawa with the United States Marine Corps; a brother, George (Amy) Moorman, of Holland, MI; two sisters, Ruth Ann Moorman, of Muncie, and Melody (Jerry) Smelser, of LaFontaine; and a grandson, Talon Thomas.

Calling is Friday, April 14, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a service following at 11 a.m., at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City. Rev. Bobby Thomas will preside. Burial will be at Monument City Cemetery, Huntington County.
