Phyllis D. Hayes, 87, of LaFontaine, IN, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at 9:35 p.m. at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation, in LaFontaine.
Mrs. Hayes graduated from LaFontaine High School. She was a farm wife. She was a member of the Converse Church of Christ, Senior Saints, Eastern Star and Converse Library Board.
She was born in LaFontaine to Lawrence and Bertha Rudicial Watson. She married Kenneth Hayes in 1951, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Jay (Cindy) Hayes, of Amboy; two daughters, Dianna (Steve) Hale, of Venice, FL, and JoAnn Hayes, of Peru; and six grandchildren, Jason Hayes, Jenna Belcher, Ryan Hale, David Hale, Darren Hale and Lucas Hayes.
Calling is Monday, April 10, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service following at 1 p.m., at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. Gary Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park.
