John A. 'Jack' Steigerwald

John A. “Jack” Steigerwald, 75, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Roanoke, IN, died Saturday, April 8, 2017, at The Cedars, in Leo-Cedarville.
Mr. Steigerwald graduated from Central High School in 1959. He worked for the McComb family and D. O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home for 40 years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the Lions Club, Cedar Creek.
He was the son of John L. and Helen B. Steigerwald. He is survived by his wife, Anna Mary Byler-Steigerwald.
Additional survivors include four daughters, Gail (Bill) Nitz, of Roanoke, and Tammy Couch, Teri Steigerwald and Kendra (Jeff) Harless, all of Fort Wayne; two sons, Kent (Cindy) Byler and Kermit (Renai) Byler, both of Fort Wayne; a sister, Carolyn Hay, of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren, Ashley (Garrett) Hudson, Adam (Natalie) Couch, Tyler Yoder, Jennifer Yoder, Alex Byler, Olivia Byler, Hannah Harless, Marissa Harless, Zazhery Harless, Anna Byler and Jakob Byler; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, April 11, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd., Fort Wayne. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. David Taylor will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
