Phyllis I. Trickle, 96, of Laketon, IN, and having family members in Huntington County, IN, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at 4:40 a.m. at Peabody Health Care Center, North Manchester.
Mrs. Trickle graduated in 1939 from Laketon High School. She worked at Peabody Retirement Community and cooked at several restaurants in Wabash County. She was a member of the North Manchester United Methodist Church, a member and past worthy matron of the Manchester Order of the Eastern Star and past president of the Laketon American Legion Auxiliary.
She was born June 15, 1920, in Wabash County to Samuel and Rosa Ohmart Flack.
Survivors include two sons, J.L. (Mary Ann) Trickle, of Huntington, and Kent (Arvada) Trickle, of Laketon; four grandchildren, Tammy (Bart) Berry, of Huntington; Matthew (Jane) Trickle, of Warren; Amanda (Kevin) Shambarger, of North Manchester; and Andy (Melanie) Trickle, of Fort Wayne; and seven great-grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, April 11, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a service following at 6 p.m., at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester. Rev. Larry Ray and Rev. Sue Babovec will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester, at a later date.
