Guy E. Engle

Guy Edward Engle, 90, of rural Bluffton, IN, and having ties to Markle, IN, died Thursday morning, March 23, 2017, at his home.

Mr. Engle graduated from Petroleum High School in 1946 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in August of the same year. Following his honorable discharge in July of 1949, he worked for Dunbar Furniture, in Berne, for nine years; in maintenance at Broadview Academy, in Illinois, for 18 years; and later in maintenance for several companies in the Wells County area. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in Markle.

He was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Wells County to J. Merle and Mary Magdalene Deeds Engle. He married Jeannine Shull on June 30, 1957, in Wells County, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Linda Davis, of Chattanooga, TN, and Sally (Ken) Seymour, of Bluffton; a son, Daniel (Nancy) Engle, of Spokane, WA; seven grandchildren, Edward Davis, Jason Davis, Susan Davis, Ashley Seymour Barnes, Kelly Seymour, Amber Engle and Zachariah Engle; and three great-grandchildren.

No service is planned. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, in Rockford.
