Violet E. Wolf, 96, of Roanoke, IN, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 5:02 a.m. at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
Mrs. Wolf had worked at Square D and retired from Our Sunday Visitor. She was a member of Union Church.
She was born Sept.1, 1920, in Wabash County to Charles F. and Louise Yentes Burton. She married Frederick F. Wolf on Sept. 3, 1939, in Huntington County, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1982.
Survivors include three sons, Donald (Janie) Wolf, of Edmonton, KY; John Wolf, of Temperance, MI; and Dean Wolf, of Roanoke; three daughters, Shirley Noble, of Middlebury; Sharon Kissinger, of Edon, OH; and Mary Lou Wilcox, of Urbana; a daughter-in-law, Monica Wolf, of Toledo, OH; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A service was held on Sunday, March 9, 2017, at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, in Roanoke, with Rev. Mark Hoffer, of Union Church, officiating. Burial was at Union Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Union Cemetery Association or Huntington County 4-H Horse and Pony, both in care of Roanoke Memorial Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN 46783.
