Imogene L. Tyler, 95, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 8:35 a.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor, in Huntington.
Mrs. Tyler had worked at Ball Band in Mishawaka and at Memcor for five years. She retired in 1982 from Majestic, where she had worked for 11 years.
She was born June 9, 1921, in Laud to Harley and Olive Dewitt Martz. She married Joseph G. Tyler on April 16, 1940, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1971.
Survivors include two sons, Joe L. Tyler, of Huntington, and Richard E. Tyler, of Andrews; six grandchildren, Chasity (Larry) Colestock, Desirea Tyler, Joel Harrell, Ashley Tyler, Justin Tyler and Josi Tyler; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 17, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Markle Cemetery.
