Charlotte M. Speicher, 100, of LaFontaine, IN, and having family members in Roanoke, IN, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Rolling Meadows Healthcare, in LaFontaine.
Mrs. Speicher graduated from LaFontaine High School. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the LaFontaine United Methodist Church, in LaFontaine.
She was born Dec. 3, 1916, in Hartford City to Clifford and Alena Mahoney Black. She married William Raymond Speicher on April 8, 1939, and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2003.
Survivors include three sons, Phillip (Marilyn) Speicher and Russell “Dean” (Sandra K.) Speicher, both of LaFontaine, and William Robert “Bob” (Connie) Speicher, of Alexandria; a daughter-in-law, Judy Speicher; seven grandchildren, Denise (Greg) Wood, of LaFontaine; Lisa Carpenter, of Wabash; Kellie (Tim) Stoffel, of Roanoke; Stefanie (Mark) Goodman, of Marion; Ron Speicher and Wesley Speicher, both of Alexandria; and Christa (Patrick) Ferdarko, of Arizona; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A service was held on Friday, March 10, 2017, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, in LaFontaine, with Don Miller, chaplain, officiating. Burial was at the LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Cemetery, in LaFontaine.
