Spencer D. Beals, age 70, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at 2:04 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mr. Beals graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, WI, in 1964 and served in the United States Air Force as a sergeant during the Vietnam War. He was a forklift driver at General Motors in Fort Wayne and a member of VFW Post 2689 and American Legion Post 85, both in Huntington.
He was born Sept. 7, 1946 in Beloit, WI, to Duane A. and Grace M. Napper Beals.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela M. Elick, of Columbia City, and Heather L. Easterday, of Huntington; three sisters, Donna McFarlin, of Clinton, WI; Kathy A. Shaw, of Huntington; and Ginny (Jim) Werner, of Madison, WI; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, March 12, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the mortuary with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Steven McPeek will officiate. Those unable to attend may view the service on the Bailey-Love Mortuary channel at www.livestream.com. Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery with military graveside rites performed by VFW Post 2689.
