Earl L. Clester

Earl L. Clester, 85, of Huntington, IN, and a former resident of Marion, IN, died Monday, March 6, 2016, at 4 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Clester graduated from Marion High School. He served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War. He retired from Fisher Body, where he had worked for many years as a steel purchaser. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, in Marion, and had been a member of the Shady Hills Country Club and Meshingomesia Golf Course, both in Marion.
He was born Sept. 12, 1931, in Marion to Ralph and Georgianna Neal Clester.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa (Erik) Strass and Shelley McCutcheon, both of Huntington; a brother, Rolland (Eldiva) Clester, of Marion; a sister, Sandy (Howard) McFarren, of Nappanee; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a service following at 11 a.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, in Huntington County.
