Daisy Johnson, 79, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 9:33 p.m. at Byron Health Center, in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She was born Nov. 30, 1937, in Hindman, KY, to Millard and Callie Jones Woods. She married Herman Johnson on Oct. 3, 1961, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 2016.
Survivors include two sons, Simmon (Misty) Johnson, of Goshen, and William “Boyd” (Danette) Johnson, of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Elizabeth Johnson, of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Scott Woods and William “Bill” Woods, both of Michigan, and James Harold Jones, of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church, 1805 Salamonie Ave., Huntington. A service will be held at the church on Friday, March 10, 2017, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Brunk Conley and Tim Gillenwater, ministers, will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, in Andrews.
