Pearl West

Pearl West, 85, a former resident of North Manchester, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at 4:40 p.m. at Parkview Wabash Hospital.

Mrs. West was a seamstress for 25 years for Cline’s products, in Huntington.

She was born Dec. 7, 1931, in Johnson County, KY, to Robert and Vinie Clark Griffith. Her first marriage was on Oct. 7, 1950, in North Manchester to John Hare, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1971. She then married Robert West, and he also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Melinda McFarland, of Warsaw, and Tina Cline, of Huntington; two sons, John (Nona) Hare, of Warsaw, and James Hare, of North Manchester; two sisters, Regina Monroe and Dorothy Morris, both of Wabash; a brother, James (Donna) Griffith, of Mesa, AZ; four grandchildren, Josh (Misty) Cline, of Huntington; John (Jamie) Cline, of South Bend; Jennifer (Dwayne) Brumley, of Niles, MI; and Jamie Hare, of Liberty Mills; and four great-grandchildren.

Calling is Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, from 9:30a.m. to 11 a.m., with a service following at 11 a.m., at Congregational Christian Church, 301 N. Walnut St., North Manchester. Rev. Sebrena Cline will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
