Jeremiah 'Jerry' Driscoll

Jeremiah “Jerry” Driscoll, 84, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at 1:18 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Driscoll was a 1950 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. He served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic, working on B-36 bombers. He retired after working on the railroad and in the automotive industry. He had also worked part time at Huntington Municipal Airport and Crain Ford.

He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689 and Knights of Columbus Council 1014.

He was born Oct. 13, 1932, in Wabash County to William and Teresa Coughlin Driscoll. He is survived by his companion of 33 years, Jeannine Goings.

Additional survivors include three sons, William “Bill” (Deb Teeters) Driscoll, of Sebring, FL; David (Heidi) Driscoll, of Uniondale; and Daniel “Dan” (Deb) Driscoll, of Huntington; two daughters, Angela (Don) Garner and Teresa Stone, both of Huntington; a sister, Mary Margaret Meyer, of Huntington; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington. Rev. Silvino Ndayambaje will preside. Burial, with military rites, will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
