Eloise S. Juillerat

Eloise S. Juillerat, 95, of Avilla, IN, and having ties to Roanoke, IN, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at 10:25 p.m. at Sacred Heart Home, in Avilla.

Mrs. Juillerat had lived in Whitley County, Fort Wayne and Churubusco, where she lived until moving to Sacred Heart Home in 2011. She was employed at Coil Engineering, in Roanoke, fir six years; helped open the first Kmart at Northcrest, in Fort Wayne; and was traffic manager at Channel 21, in Fort Wayne, for more than 18 years before retiring in 1983. She was a member of Beacon Light Chapel, in Churubusco.

She was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Whitley County to Ratio “Ted” and Callie Herstel Smith. She married Ralph V. Juillerat on Oct. 23, 1937, and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2006.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Norma Juillerat, of Churubusco; two granddaughters, Michele (Michael) Morris, of Fort Wayne, and Jill Keim, of Churubusco; three stepgranddaughters, Kathy (Dennis) Konger, of Fort Wayne; Karen (Michael) Peelman, of Dallas, TX; and Karla (Roger) Linvill, of Columbia City; two great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service following at 1 p.m., at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Entombment will be at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
