Carol V. Kimmel

Carol V. Kimmel, 82, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at 9:54 a.m. at her home.
    
Mrs. Kimmel graduated from Huntington High School in 1952. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter’s First Community Church, where she was active in the Girls’ Guild. She volunteered for many years at the Forks of the Wabash. She was a boys and girls 4-H leader, and a leader for both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

 She was born July 26, 1934, in Huntington to Kenneth L. and Elsie Downs Morris. She married Daniel Joseph Kimmel on Feb. 22, 1953, at St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed Church in Huntington. Her husband survives.                                                     
Additional survivors include three sons, Tim Kimmel, of Fort Wayne; Tom (Linda) Kimmel, of Huntington; and Tyler (Marie) Kimmel of Markle; four daughters, Susan Kimmel, of Indianapolis, and Sally Kimmel, Sandra (Kevin) Shoemaker and Sara (Bob) Schnepp, all of Huntington; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. Private family funeral services will be held with Rev. Eugene Vickery officiating. Private burial will be in St. Peter’s First Cemetery in Huntington.
