Harley E. Pugh

Harley Eugene Pugh, 82, of Markle, IN, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at 2:30 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Pugh worked for PHD Inc. in Fort Wayne for 34 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Markle Church of Christ.

He was born Aug. 13, 1934, in Huntington to Wilbur and Virginia Dinus Pugh. He married Marilyn Overholt on Sept. 4, 1956, in Markle, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Teresa (Dave) Guffey, of Fort Wayne; Valerie Stallings, of Huntington; and Rhoda Swinhart, of Markle; two sons, Nathan (Cherie) Pugh, of Marysville, OH, and Nolan (Pam) Pugh, of Huntington; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Markle Church of Christ, 455 E. Morse St., Markle. A service will be held at the church on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Gerald O. Moreland will officiate. Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
