Robert T. Landon Sr.

Robert T. Landon Sr., 82, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 12:30 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Landon served in the United States Army as a corporal during the Korean War. He retired as a machine operator at Wayne Metal, in Markle, and had also worked as a security guard at CF Industries, in Huntington, for 13 years. He had been a member of First Baptist Church, in Warren, for more than 50 years.

He was born Jan. 20, 1933, in Huntington and was the son of Floyd and Florence Landon Stevens. He married Marilyn I. McNay on Aug. 14, 1953, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Robert T. Landon Jr., of Knoxville, TN, and Mark Allen Landon, of Kokomo; two daughters, Marlene (Steve) Sills, of Huntington, and Teresa (Don) Parvin, of Kokomo; three grandchildren, Loretta Sue Roberts, Scott Lee Roberts and Peggy Lynn Ferguson; and two great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, June 27, 2016, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Chris People officiating. Those unable to attend may view the service on the Bailey-Love Mortuary channel at www.livestream.com. Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington County, with military rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, of Huntington.
