Rev. John R. Pavelka

Rev. John R. Pavelka, 79, of Fort Wayne, and having relatives in Huntington, IN, died Friday May 27, 2016, at his home in Lutheran Life Villages.

Rev. Pavelka served multiple parishes in southern Indiana. He was on the clergy roster of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

He was born May 29, 1936 in Peoria, IL, to Johns and Irma Apacki Pavelka. He married Linda Katter on June 7, 1964, at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland, IN, and she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Maria (Scott) Chanley, of Huntington, and Rachel Pavelka, of Terre Haute; and a granddaughter, Lauren (Daniel) Beer, of Fort Wayne.

Calling is Friday, June 3, 2016, from 12:30 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service, at Lutheran Life Villages Memorial Chapel, 6701 S. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Holland.
